30 hours until we set off. All the important stuff has been done, except the packing and the shopping.... Just checking the online diary submission system.

Day one hasn't really gone to plan!
We are presently in a Hotel, somewhere in Germany, about 150 miles
away from the campsite. Lucas really wanted to go to bed, so at
around 7.30 we started trying hotels, eventually ending up in one
that's part of a chain and hasn't been refurbished for a long time!
The rugs nailed to the lino...
Rally wise, we've driven about 340 miles on just over three quarters of
a tank of diesel. Starting in Calais, we visited Belgium, Netherlands
and Germany, missing Luxembourg as we didn't have time. Lucas has been
really good - only getting upset when he missed bedtime.
Very tired now. Going to have an early night!
