Driver 2009.CoDriver 2007.
After entering as co-driver and engineer for the team in 2007, spending hours customising the team vehicle, learning how to drive (and slide, spin and drift) a Defender, learning lots about the Td5 and eventually driving/co-driving around Europe, Andy ended up buying a Land Rover of his own to enter the 2008 event.
He never made it to the start line, but 2009 is still looking good!
Andy is a systems engineer, working with embedded processor technology and communications systems. For 2007 he set up a realtime GPS-MobileInternet-Database-GoogleEarth website, which received coordinates every 20 seconds and generated Google Earth files and Google Maps pages.
The plan for silly IT kit hasn't been formalised for 2009 yet.
