Vehicle
The team vehicle is a 1993 200Tdi Discovery called Red.
Purchased from Ebay, Red wasn't exactly pristine.... or even
anything like the description.
Needs very little for MoT - "Needs 4 new shocks, some welding on
the chassis, new sills end-to-end, new steering damper, bodywork
needs welding near seat mounts and seatbelts, new exhaust and mounts, new brake lines."
No oil leaks from engine gearbox, transfer box, differentials - "Engine,
gearbox, transfer box and differentials all need oil"
Engine is perfect, no leaks - "Needs servicing, belts, core plugs,
thermostat, radiator, glow plugs. Nothing left to leak out."
When people ask me what they need to do to their vehicle to take part
in Landy Rally, I tell them "if your vehicle can drive 3000 miles in
week without breaking down, you're ready for the rally."
